Offshore Online

We’re excited to be launching a new website for the LOC-Group’s Renewables division. We’ve successfully supported the LOC Group on a number of previous online projects. Working alongside a business that seeks to improve the UK’s contribution to climate change is something we’re very proud of and, as a creative agency, the subject of renewable energy is something we’d like to be more involved with.

LOC Renewables brings together the vast experience of the LOC Group and that of its fully owned subsidiary, Longitude Engineering, who ensure operational success for offshore renewable energy projects.

LOC Renewables were attending the Offshore Wind 2017 event, which is the world’s largest offshore conference and exhibition taking place in London. It was important that the launch of their new website coincided with their presence at the event so they could successfully promote their services with the right assets in place for a consistent brand narrative.

Given the recent Paris Climate Agreement and surrounding events, climate change and reducing the world’s emissions is heavily featured in the news right now, not to mention the controversial decision-making from the far west. This is a huge opportunity for our client to make a good, long-lasting impression, especially considering that the UK (the world-leader in offshore wind) is the host of the event with around 10,000+ attendees coming from 80+ countries, 400+ exhibitors and 150+ speakers, including brands such as Siemens and Green Investment Bank to name a couple, all at the forefront of the offshore wind industry.

To maintain our strong and consistent relationship with LOC Group, the Renewables website had to be turned around in a considerably short window to achieve the desired launch date. We had to make sure everything fell into place smoothly.

The design had to follow the main LOC Group brand, remaining consistent with its subsidiary brands, but also have its own identity as well. Tones of green were an obvious choice for the eco-friendly colour palette, combined with a clean and dynamic layout. We created some icons to help demonstrate the range of services on offer, as well as a neat parallax feature image on the home page made from 3-4 layers of imagery. This was brought to life in a subtle way through the code. We wanted the site to be informative and confident in its appearance, with clear navigation throughout.

Being under pressure is nothing new to our talented team of designers and developers. Being aware of all the variables that make up a project timeline goes hand-in-hand with experience, intuition, good communication and efficient project scheduling. The renewable energies market is thriving with new ideas and technology, paving the way for future generations; a legacy that Fever is extremely proud to be a small part of, with the desire to participate in more projects in the foreseeable future.
