Award-Winning Web Design
We specialise in user-centric, product and service-based brochure website design for everyone from local Colchester businesses to familiar international brands.
Our close-knit team can flex up and down to accommodate anything from humble brochure sites to fully-formed digital products for e-commerce, entertainment, booking and ticketing.
What we do
All of our development projects begin with web workshops to discover more about you, the core motivations behind your website and the markets you target. This allows us to lay solid foundations and plan the three core pillars of website design: Content Architecture, Technical Functionality and Design Requirement.
- Brochure websites
- E-commerce Websites powered by WooCommerce
- Ticketing & box office websites
- Database & network websites
- Web based applications
The process of wireframing and prototyping allows us to focus fully on user experience without the distraction of design. We design and plan mobile-first to ensure content is optimised and prioritised for today’s consumers, maintaining the appropriate principles of UX design for all devices. Our clickable prototypes enable clients to experience their site in first-person to weed out any usability issues before the final design. This also means you are able to present complex projects to stakeholders and decision-makers in a clear and complete way, almost as if the site was already online.
The design phase starts off with initial designs or stylescapes, depending on how established your brand already is. Stylescapes allow us to provide a first glimpse of a new brand’s digital presence, complete with an overview of various components included such as type, iconography and image treatment. For more rooted brands, we progress straight onto template styles and clickable prototypes.
Using a CMS system — standardly WordPress — we create a flexible digital framework that places content at the heart of your website. We build for all devices and have extensive, cross-browser quality control processes in place to ensure that when your website launches, it’s look will be consistent across a multitude of platforms.
Our processes are 100% transparent, and we itemise specific development tasks in all our project outlines. If desired, you’ll get user guides and training for staff members who plan to take ownership of their site going forward. Alternatively, help is always available in the form of our maintenance packages.
